Cleaning a priceless Van Gogh painting requires skill, knowledge and years of experience. OREGON ART BEAT goes behind the scenes at the Portland Art Museum to follow every step of the process in the restoration of a recently donated masterpiece, "The Ox Cart," to its original 1884 condition. Tune in to OREGON ART BEAT on the stations of Oregon Public Broadcasting on Thursday, June 5 at 8pm (and Sunday June 8 at 2am and 6pm) as some new insights and surprising discoveries are revealed through this process.
Tiny, delicate glasswork risks possible destruction every time Chris Buzzini reaches the final stage of producing his art. The Oregon City man is one of only 20 people in the world producing lampwork paperweights.
The Dalles Victor Johnson teaches country blues to kids. His CD is a bestseller in the toddler market! See him in action with kids and their parents, and also watch a performance of his band, Django's Cadillac, whose music has been featured on NPR's CAR TALK.
