Program Description
In August 1941, aboard the USS Augusta and HMS Prince of Wales, an unusual meeting would take place between two of the most powerful leaders in the world. ATLANTIC CHARTER: THE END OF COLONIALISM represents the first detailed television account of this historic meeting between President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. The agreement constructed aboard these two warships would have enormous consequences – bringing to an end a world order built on European colonial power. ATLANTIC CHARTER: THE END OF COLONIALISM was Produced by Electric Pictures and Wildfilm Australia in association with Oregon Public Broadcasting.
