Premiere
This six-part, 30-minute series premiered nationally on PBS on Fridays, June 14 - July 19, 2002 at 10:00 p.m.
Program Description
In the high-powered boardroom of a successful enterprise, it's easy to become detached from the day-to-day business of your company. BACK TO THE FLOOR challenges top executives to descend from the heights to spend a week with their workers - serving drinks, cooking fries, fielding customer complaints, cleaning dog mess, making cups and saucers and dealing with multiple murderers. Will they be able to cope? What lessons can they learn for the future? Rude awakenings await the bosses as they get a taste of the frustrations, grievances and humor of working on their own front line. They learn about how their company really works, what the business is like, and what their employees think of them.
