As the war in Vietnam was escalating, the tiny Southeast nation of Cambodia found itself in the precarious position of a neutral nation in a very troubled region. Since the Geneva Agreement of 1954, American foreign policy had been to respect Cambodian neutrality. But as Communism spread across the region, American idealism and policy quickly shifted. CAMBODIA’S KILLING FIELDS examines how this once-peaceful Southeast Asian nation became one of the world’s bloodiest “killing fields.” Featuring remarkable footage of the bombing of Cambodia, this one-hour documentary offers a compelling account of a decade of horror that would lead to the near destruction of an entire society. Produced by Electric Pictures and Wildfilm Australia in association with Oregon Public Broadcasting.
